This is how Hank looked when I got him back from Petsmart Groomers in West Hills, Knoxville, Tennessee last Thursday! Before the lady brought him out she proceeded to tell me that he got “excited” and busted a blood vessel in his eye. Then as another lady was bringing him out, her story changed a little. Then it was “he got rowdy”. And then… I saw his face. It was so horrible in person I could barely stand to look at my baby!!!!
The white around his left eye was so full of blood around the iris that it was bulging out of his eye! His right eye also was filled with blood but not quite as bad as the left.
I took Hank to the vet Thursday evening after it hadn’t got any better and was clearly effecting his mood! The vet said it was obviously caused by something being too tightly on his neck for a period of time!
I will follow up with updates.
Be careful of anywhere you take your pet and leave them without your supervision!
Hank LOVES turkey too! He’s getting his fill of turkey from Thanksgiving! He gets so excited sometimes it’s hard for him to sit still and wait for me to say “OK”. It’s very cute!! haha And generally… he doesn’t chew his turkey so I have to break it into small pieces like this one!
This is my dog Hank. He doesn’t know he’s a dog. He is somewhere between baby and house kitty.
This is one of the few of his favorite pastimes! He loves to sleep. This week he loves to sleep especially next to me! He’s a fair weathered doggie. He’s only cuddling with me because it’s cold. He would never make it outside. 2 of his least favorite things: rain and cold.
He especially doesn’t like light or noise when he’s sleeping! You can see here he’s trying to escape the light by shoving his face under my butt whilst laying on the couch! haha
